![]() ![]() Spells do take energy to use, where more powerful and complex ones can be quite draining. Forced bonding, a taboo technique where the Brightwisp is absorbed without gaining its trust exists. Even after gaining trust and bonding, a Brightwisp has no loyalty to their host, even after expulsion they will retain no familiar connection. A Brightwisp cannot escape a host through their own will. If a user is killed then the Brightwisps will leave the body, or expelled from the their host via the users own will. The user then can utilize the spell of that particular Brightwisp, only 3 Brightwisps can be bonded with at a time, but time must be taken to train and learn the Spell. The process of bonding is when a Spirit is absorbed by someone through their Willspark, this can be done through gaining the trust of a Brightwisp, via challenging it to a battle and gaining its respect, curing its Golwisp transformation or other acts. However the Willspark can be transferred through blood, but it only lasts 2 generations at most from the orginal Flashborn. They will then emerge in the Spirit Realm in a flash of blue light, with no Identity and a new Spirit Animal companion. The burrow connects to one of the other 17 realms, where upon arrival the Brightwisp will be completely invisible in the foreign dimension but for an extremely short period of time, the burrow will begin to close, and in that time any unforutnate soul called wander through, unaware the burrow is in front of the due to it being invisible too, and fall through to begin their transformation into a Flashborn. Brightwisps are capable of creating small Portals, invisible to the material universe, and unable to be travelled through on starting end. For a Flashborn.to be born, they must fall through a Spirit Burrow. Upon fusing with a Soulbeast, the receiver's memories are fully erased, leaving on their first name, and thus develop a Willspark in their right palm. Soulbeasts act as a physical reflection of a persons soul, where they are a Spirit that can leave and return to their host's body at any time, but cannot interact with the physical world in any way, and vice versa. Flashborns are created where a person from another of the 17 realms, a network of different worlds, Earth included, are transported to the Spirit Isles, where in the process their Soul is fused with a special type of Brightwisp called a Soulbeast. ![]() Brightwisps can interact with the physical world however so they please, phasing through objects or interacting with them, except for Soulforge.Ī special group of people called Flashborns can bond and absorb a Spirit via a small gem in the palm of their hand called Willsparks. The only way to harm a Spirit is via a special metal called Soul Forge, or magical radiation produced by using Spells. During this form they will grow large crystaline structures across their ghostly form, called Spirit Cores, either destroying these can temporarily calm a Spirit, but a better way is to fix the grievance that angered them originally. These are demonic and monstrous version of their Spirit forms, and undergo an uncontrollable rage. Spirit's are so connected to nature and the health of the ecosystem, that its desercration, or harming them and other Spirits, will anger them to the point they transform into Golwisps, or Cursed Spirits. This means other Komodo Spirits can only utilize this spell, nor can any other spirit which takes the form of another animal. Each Brightwisp is able to use a specific elemental spell, where they take on a specific animal form: E.g A Komodo Dragon Brightwisp is able to utilize the Magma Spell, which means they can heat earth into Lava and control its flow. The Spirits are represented by the 15 Elements: Thunder, Fire, Earth, Metal, Ice, Phantom, Water, Spirit, Nature, Wind, Sun, Moon, Light, Shadow and Mind. So in the Spirit Isles there is the existence of creatures called Brightwisps, Spirit-Like beings that take the form of animals that glow a bright, bioluminescent blue. In the main setting, there is a realm called the Spirit Isles, a singular island of varying biomes surrounded by a lake-like ocean with an unscalable Ice-Wall surrounding it.
